KINDERMUSIK AND THE HILLIER GARDENS JOIN FORCES TO SUPPORT BARNADO’S BIG TODDLE THIS SUMMER

It’s one small step for a Toddler, one giant leap for Toddlerkind!

Throughout the summer, all around the country, Toddlers have been putting their best foot forward for the Barnado’s Big Toddle – a sponsored half mile walk for under 5s and their families and the Big Toddle is now about to arrive in Romsey.

Allison at Kindermusik with Allison, has joined forces with the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens to hold a sponsored event on Thursday, 21 August. 75% of the funds raised from the event will be given to Barnado’s to fund local projects working with disadvantaged young children, through play schemes for young children with disabilities, family centres and parenting classes. The remaining 25% will be donated to local charity, Romsey Centre Pre School.

Allison says, ‘Working with babies and young children all the time and as a mother of two myself, I realise how vulnerable little and young people can be and how lucky many of us are to have the opportunities available to us. As my own association with Romsey Centre Pre School comes to an end, I would very much like to raise some money for two very worthwhile causes whilst having lots of fun in very beautiful surroundings.’

The event will kick off at 11:30am on Thursday, 21 August with some fun musical warm-up activities before heading off on a short half mile treasure hunt around the Gardens. Families are invited to bring picnics and enjoy the rest of the afternoon with their fellow Big Toddlers. The Hillier Gardens have very generously offered a special entry fee of £2 per adult taking part in the toddle while children under the age of 16 have free entry to the gardens. For those families who are members of the Gardens at the time of the event, entry is included within their membership. Wet weather arrangements have also been made.
