About Allison

I have had a love of music all my life. My musical memories go back to when my parents bought me my first ever single, ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing’ by The New Seekers. I wonder if they realised what they were starting all those years ago!

Singing in school and church choirs from an early age, I gradually moved onto amateur musical theatre, culminating with two years spent working and performing with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

I returned to dry land to work in the hotel business for 8 years, leaving just before the birth of my second son. My time now is spent as a combination of being Mum to my two small boys and as a member of Romsey Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society and for a number of years I ran the Romsey Parent & Toddler group at the Methodist Church.

At university I studied French and German with Business Studies and was very interested to learn that music is now used in some classes to help teach young children a foreign language. As a parent, the Kindermusik programme is something I firmly believe in and often spend time at home with my children listening to and playing along with the fantastic music and activities.
